The Office for National Statistics (ONS), recently published data that revealed that during the last quarter to the end of November 2013 there was a rise of 4.1% in the number of people describing themselves as self employed, this means that in the UK the number of people who describe themselves as self employed now stands at 4.37 million, or 14.5 per cent of the total workforce.
