Get a hold of your emotions!

frustration_cartoonDifferent days will bring out different moods in you. It’s safe to say though that even the cheeriest of people will have ‘one of those days’ at some point or another – you know the one’s; where you stumble out of bed, look out of the window and you just know it won’t be an easy ride!

With such condition, it can be really easy to carry on the bad mood and vibes with you throughout the course of the day. But how productive are your working days when you have a weight on your shoulders?

Without the right mood to work on your tasks, you are sure to miss deadlines in the process. With the mood you are in, you will not be able to concentrate with the activities at hand, so even if you do manage to complete your tasks for the day, it’s safe to say your heart won’t be in what you are doing and it’s likely to show!

Pragmatically, the activities in your task-list need to be done one way or the other.  The ideal thing to do is to keep your cool and make the best effort to be aligned as per your schedule set.  But if you really need to, and if your deadlines allow, you may want to adjust your schedule and put it at a later time when you feel are in better form.  But this should be an exception rather than a rule.

So try to shake off the grump and keep your emotions stable – which, realistically, is far easier said than done!  But being aware of such condition is one step towards being able to control it for your own good – and, importantly, keeping your time management running effectively!
